The largest sale in January was a 19th century row house on Smith's Row in Georgetown.  The home has been renovated but the original architectural details were left intact.  Features include original hardwood floors, six fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen addition that overlooks the patio, a formal living and dining room plus a two car garage.

big deal includes closed sales from the previous month, ending on the last day of the month.

PS-look at the virtual tour from when the house was for sale in 2012 for $4,625,000 with a different listing agent.  What a difference in decor!  I think the photos I used are from old..probably from 2010 when it was listed for $5,295,000. Looks like the house has been for sale a few times and withdrawn because it wasn't successful. This time it sold for cash (!) and it wasn't officially on the market. Congrats to the agent..this sale must have been a nice surprise. Isn't real estate fascinating!
